DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, November 16\, 2017\n \nTopic: Running Gait Analysis – An Overview of the 5 Most Common Running Error Classifications \n6:30 pm – 8:00 pm \nWilmington Hospital\, 501 W 14th Street\, Wilmington\, DE 19801 – Brandywine Conference Center\, Room 4\, 8th Floor* \nSpeaker: Ari Kaplan\, PT\, DPT\, SCS\, CSCS\, COMT\, Cert MDT\nTopic Description: Assessing running gait can be both difficult and time consuming.  What factors matter?  What angles should you look at?  It can quickly be overwhelming.  During this 1-hour talk\, we will simplify this process as we review our classifications for the most common and meaningful running gait errors\, which may be contributing to your patient’s pain. \nAri Kaplan PT\, DPT\, SCS\, CSCS\, COMT\, Cert MDT Association of Clinical Excellence \nAri is a graduate of the University of Delaware Physical Therapy program and has an undergraduate degree in biomechanics.  He is a residency trained Board Certified Sports Specialist\, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist\, and is also a Certified Mechanical Diagnosis Therapist from the McKenzie Institute.  Ari currently works in Bear\, DE with ATI Physical Therapy where in addition to treating patients\, he mentors clinicians and contributes to protocol development.  He has lectured on sports and orthopedics both locally and nationally.  He also assists in sideline injury management and develops pre-participation screen and return to sport guidelines \nAri\, along with his colleague and brother-in-law Doug Adams\, are the Co-Founders of the Association of Clinical Excellence\, an education company focused on building the physical therapy community and developing the complete professional.  The Association of Clinical Excellence (ACE) is dedicated to Making Excellent Results Possible for ALL Clinicians.  He is also the COO and Co-Founder in ACE Running\, which strives to make 3-D running analysis effective and affordable for clinicians.  He co-published his first book\, Modern Day Management: A Short Guide to Successful Meetings in March of 2015 and is published on treating the athletic back through a regional interdependence approach. \n*There is a free visitors parking garage that is attached to the hospital. Please use the north elevators to the 8th floor.  The north elevators are the only elevators that go to the conference center.
