Physical therapists (PTs) with a strong background in research have an opportunity to partner with a groundbreaking project that aims to play a transformative role in physical therapy health services research.
The Center on Health Services Training and Research (CoHSTAR) is now seeking candidates for its Visiting Scientist Program, a first-of-its-kind program that will link researchers with faculty mentors across 3 collaborating institutions, and provide opportunities for hands-on experience working with investigators.
Applications are being sought for PTs with a PhD, ScD, or DrPH and a history of research experience and publication who are committed to advancing health services and health policy research capacity in physical therapy. Initial application requirements include a description of the work an applicant wishes to do while at CoHSTAR, a curriculum vitae or NIH biosketch, and a statement describing future plans for physical therapy and related health services research. Stipends of up to $20,000 are available.
