DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD
The recipient of this award will be acknowledged for their continued service toward the Association and/or the physical therapy profession. The recipient will be a member of the Association, will have demonstrated significant contributions over time that collectively have supported the Association. The contributions may or may not have been in the past year. Typically these people have been long standing members of the Association, and over the course of time through consistent actions have contributed to the goals and business of the Association
FRIENDS OF PT
The recipient of this award will be an individual outside of the physical therapy profession who has contributed significantly to the advancement of the Association and/or the physical therapy profession. The contributions will be acknowledged as significant and positively impacting the physical therapy profession and the patients who receive physical therapy services.
THE GREG RYBICKI LEGISLATIVE LEADERSHIP AWARD
The recipient of this award will be a member of the DPTA, and will have spent significant time and effort on the Association’s behalf working on legislative issues that affect the DPTA, its members, and the patients who receive physical therapy services. The contributions may or may not have been in the past year. Typically these nominees have been long standing members of the Association, have established solid relationships with members of the state and/or federal government, and thoroughly understand the legislative process.
DPTA Award General Criteria
- Candidates must be members in good standing of the APTA and may be nominated by any member of the DPTA. However, candidates for the Friends of Physical Therapy Award are not to be APTA members.
- Nominations must be submitted in writing and clearly state how the nominee meets and/or exceeds the criteria for the award. Letters of support from others will be accepted. Unsupported nominations will not be considered.
- A committee appointed by the Executive Committee will consider all nominations and choose recipients.
- All awards will not necessarily be presented each year.
