The APTA Section on Pediatrics Annual Conference (SoPAC) will be held November 6 – 8, 2015, at the Wydham Grand Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA. Four pre-conference courses will be held November 4-5. The 2015 SoPAC theme is: “Convergence of Knowledge and Research into Practice”.  SoPAC includes 18 hours of all-pediatric programming with concurrent sessions from all pediatric practice areas. The SoPAC Schedule-At-A-Glance and registration information can be accessed at www.sopac.us.

Top 10 Reasons You Should Attend SoPAC 2015

10. Location, Location, Location: The Wyndham Grand Hotel is centrally located at the meeting of the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers The hotel offers impressive views of the mountains and rivers and is on Point State Park.  Due to the popularity of SoPAC as well as other events scheduled in Pittsburgh during the same time frame, hotel rooms are filling up very quickly. We recommend making reservations as soon as possible. You have no idea how much fun Pittsburgh can be until you come! Check it out at www.VisitPITTSBURGH.com

9. Transportation: The Wyndham Grand Hotel is easily accessible from the airport by taxi or shuttle.  Once there, the Wyndham is within the FREE bus fare zone and the T Free Fare zone and within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants.  You can also scale the slopes of Mt Washington in restored cable cars offering a spectacular view of the city.

8. Sports: Pittsburgh is home to the Steelers, Pirates, Penguins, Riverhounds and Pitt Panthers.

7. Food: Pittsburgh is the home of pierogies, kielbasa and many microbreweries.
