APTA Delaware Slate for 2025 Leadership Positions

The following is the slate for APTA Delaware leadership positions.

  • President – David Wilderman, PT, DPT, MS

David has been a member of the APTA since 1984. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware in 1984, MSPT from Beaver College (now Arcadia University) in 1986, and DPT from Boston University in 2006. He spent 15 years in Baltimore, MD, then another 12 years in Shrewsbury, PA where he had a private practice from 2000 to 2011. After relocating back to his home state of DE in 2012, he became a Multi-Site Manager for Physiotherapy Associates, overseeing two clinics in Newark and one in Bear, before re-launching his private practice in Delaware in 2015. David has been active in PT leadership in MD, PA, and DE, and has most recently served two terms in the roles of Secretary and Vice President of APTADE, as well as a member of the Events Committee.

“I believe that we have much collaborative work to educate the public on our value. We must also bring reimbursement systems into alignment with the vision projected by our profession, as well as working to elevate physical therapy to primary status in healthcare systems. I will continue to advocate for the APTA of DE and help advance our practice in regards to member needs and interests by helping to provide resources that add value to APTA of DE membership.”

  • Vice President – John Bradley, PT

 

John Bradley, PT has been a physical therapist in Delaware for 37 years. He is co-owner of Performance Physical Therapy since 1992.

He has been an active member of APTA National and APTA Delaware since 1987. He has held a number of roles both nationally and locally including the State of Delaware PT-PAC Ambassador for APTA, Congressional Key Contact for APTA, and is currently the Secretary of APTA Delaware.

He lectures nationally on leadership in Physical Therapy and is a consultant to DPT programs for integration leadership into the curriculum.

 

 

  • Director (1) – George Edelman MPT, OCS, MTC 

 

George has been active with the APTA Delaware and was appointed chair of the Payor Relations Committee. He served as Vice President of the DPTA from 2007 to 2010 and was elected President from  2011-2014. In October 2005 George was recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association as one of 31 emerging leaders. George is currently a director on the APTA Delaware Board of Directors.

George is an adjunct professor for the University of Delaware’s physical therapy program. He participates in their advanced orthopaedic class with emphasis on the spine and their sports elective course – offering his course on how the manage injuries in the swimming athlete.

 

 

 

  • PTA Council Representative – OPEN
  • Nominating Committee Representative (2) – OPEN

Elections will be held beginning November 4,th Individuals will assume leadership positions starting January 1, 2025.
